Tawang monastery 

Located at the top of the hill, Tawang Monastery is the largest monastery in India and the second-largest monastery in the world. Tawang Monastery also known as Galden Namgyal Gatse means "celestial paradise in the clear night" A renowned Buddhist monastery can amaze anyone with its great size and wordless architectural beauty. This monastery is home to some valuable ancient, thangka painting, beautiful painting walls, rotating prayer wheel, and 28 m high gilded Buddha statue make it one of the special places to visit there. this monastery is also home to more than 300 Gelugpa monks. best time to visit Tawang Monastery during the vibrant torgya festival celebrated every year with great joy and enthusiasm by monpa tribes.

Sela pass

This pass is named after a local girl Sela who sacrificed her life in the 1962 war to help the Indian army defend the pass. Sit at a height of 13700 ft, Sela Pass is one of the highest motorable passes in the world. It connects the Buddhist town of Tawang to the rest of India. This pass is known for its panoramic beauty and snow-covered mountain, beautiful glacial lakes and picturesque valleys.it is considered that the pass has 101 lakes nearby, which hold religious importance to the Buddhist community. the nearest lake to the pass is Sela Lake which is covered with snow all across the year. Sela pass weather is very cold and can be visited any time of the year

  

Tawang memorial

A 40 feet high memorial, Tawang war memorial

Is dedicated to the Indian army's brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the Indian- sino war in 1962.  The war memorial was built in Tibetan style with monpa elements. Visitors can see the Indian soldiers name on granite plates and also many statues of the Indian army all across the place. The memorial also organise a light and pump show that introduces the rich history of tawang, the bravery of soldiers, and a few panoramic spots to visit. Tawang War Memorial timing is between 7:45 am to 6 pm.

Nuranang falls

Located deep in the forest of Tawang, Nuranang Falls is the largest falls in Arunachal Pradesh. Nuranang Falls offers a panoramic and amazing experience Renowned by many names such as Bong Bong Falls and Jang Jung Falls, stunning Nuranang Falls with beautiful milky water descends from a height of 100 m.do not forget the captured photographs of the scenic beauty of the surroundings. Locals believe that waterfall is named after Monpa girl Nura, who Sacrificed her life to help the Indian army during the Indo-China war. This waterfall became famous after the shooting of Tanhai Tanhai song by Shahrukh khan and Madhuri Dixit, the super hit Bollywood movie Koyla, was completed here in 1997.

Pt tso lake

Around 18 km from Tawang, pankang Teng is one of the most visited lakes in Arunachal Pradesh. This lake is also popular as P.T. Tso Lake. This is one of the lakes that are surrounded by snow covered Himalayan peaks with the expanse of grassland. the carpet of yellow flowers around the lake, the pink terraces of rhododendrons, cool and calm water, meandering clouds and sweet chirping of birds make it one of the special places to visit. this place is also a good place for picnics.
